Description
The Lincoln Gap covered bridge also known as the Warren covered bridge is easy to miss. Just for the heck of it, I left Vermont's Route 100 when I was heading north and took Main street into Warren. If you stay on 100 all the time you will miss things like this. If you travel too fast up Main St, you will be turning around because it's easy to pass by Covered Bridge road. Here in the village of Warren you will find the Lincoln Gap bridge that crosses the Mad river. This is one of two Queens truss bridges in Vermont and like the Schoolhouse covered bridge up in Lyndonville, you will see that the exterior and interior is completely covered. The bridge was built in 1880 and the roof was reshingled in 1995
